Ethical Dolphin Encounters:
Our guided tours prioritise the well-being of the dolphins, ensuring respectful and safe interactions. You'll be briefed on the code of conduct to minimise disturbance and maximise your understanding of these intelligent creatures.
Swimming with wild dolphins in Mozambique is an extraordinary experience that offers both physical and emotional benefits for participants, while also promoting a deeper connection with marine life. The experience takes place in Ponta do Oura, where clear blue waters create a stunning backdrop for encounters with these intelligent and playful creatures.
Safety and Conservation:
The safety of both participants and dolphins is a top priority. Strict safety measures are followed to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience, while also supporting marine conservation efforts. The ethical approach ensures that dolphin encounters are conducted respectfully, with guidelines in place to prevent disturbing the dolphins. Participants are educated on the dolphins' behaviour and in instances such as when the dolphins are resting or exhibiting signs of discomfort (like jaw slapping), the encounter is halted.
Managing Expectations:
Dolphin encounters are never guaranteed, as they depend on factors such as weather conditions and the dolphins' behaviour. While three dolphin launches are included, interactions may vary in length and intensity. Encounters can vary, ranging from brief encounters (Class D) to more intentional interactions (Class A), with many experiences falling somewhere in between, represented by Class B and C. Regardless of the class, each experience is unique and impactful.
